Boulder Dash

“Boulder Dash was released in 1990 by virtual unknown First Star Software, and with all due respect, the game plays exactly like you would expect from a developer of that name: It looks, feels, and controls like an old-school computer game.”

Remember those shareware floppy disks that used to trade hands like free agents changed pro sports teams? No? Well I do, and Boulder Dash reminds me of one of those better-than-most shareware software titles you would almost decide to pay for the full version of but, at the last minute, shrug and decide against it.

  1. I’m a huge puzzle game fan, so this game definitely appeals to me. It’s fun and can get pretty challenging. The first time I tried this out for the NES, I knew I just had to own it. I’m a sucker like that. 🙂
